Information About Giving to Chatham Day School
When a student enrolls at Chatham Day School, it is important for parents to understand the role that fundraising plays in the finances of the school. The distinctive elements of a Chatham Day School education: the nurturing effects of a low teacher-student ratio, stimulating related arts and technology experiences, and innovative curricular approaches in every area of study, are all supported by the operating budget.
Like most independent schools, tuition covers only part of the costs that the school incurs each year to educate each child. (Percentage fluctuates based on enrollment; this year it is 76%.) To cover operating expenses, the gap is primarily bridged, in order of importance, by the Annual Fund and the Four Seasons Celebration.
We ask all those within our community – current parents, trustees, faculty and staff, grandparents and friends - to participate in the Annual Fund. Trustees, faculty and staff have led the way with 100% participation for the past four years. Please join them in demonstrating your support for the mission and the programs of Chatham Day School.
The Annual Fund campaign runs every year from July 1 through June 30.
All gifts to Chatham Day School are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
